PACHA MORU (SPICED & SALTED BUTTERMILK)

Pacha Moru, which is a drink made out of buttermilk, is one of my favourite drink in summer, which is absolutely a thirst quencher. In Kerala, a tradition of giving mildly spiced buttermilk or Sambharam to their guests existed, which is now replaced by the tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks by modernization. But still it is been used with meals as pacha moru (spiced salted buttermilk) or kachiya moru (buttermilk tempered with chillies and curry leaves). I enjoyed this refreshing drink during hot summer afternoons leaving me completely dehydrated in Jodhpur in Rajasthan, which is well-known for crouching heat and. Buttermilk is known for its hydrating and refreshing properties. I enjoy it with meals too, especially when it includes sambar or aviyal which is a nice combination along with some pickle or thenga chammanthiMore Simple & Easy-to-Cook Onasadhya Recipes @ BACHELOR'S ONASADHYA
